Introducing Oh! JAzz
Oh! Jazz is a multimedia global jazz platform offering live and on-demand shows from iconic jazz clubs from 5 continents featuring classics and a highly diverse set of sub-genres like flamenco-jazz, bossa nova, latin jazz, and jazz from Asia Pacific among others. The talent includes a rich collection of international Grammy award winning and nominated artists plus emerging acts innovating within the genre representing today’s jazz scene.
Our content goes far beyond the club shows, including festivals, artist interviews, behind the scenes segments, articles from our Oh! Mag, podcasts, playing lists, and more.
The platform is available online, via apps for both iOS and Android, on YouTube TV so you may access from the convenience of your phone, tablet, desktop or large screen TV. Unlike streaming services, we have an OTT (Over the Top) platform with unmatched quality. All shows are recorded on high definition and hi-fi, including shows with Dolby 5.1 and Dolby Atmos for highest sound quality.
Our objective is to help preserve jazz. We support artists and clubs by sharing 35% of our top line subscription revenue with both parties in addition to giving them a global stage to connect with global audiences.
Why Jazz Matters today?
Jazz is sometimes called the “American Classical Music,” which essentially speaks to the beauty, complexity, sophistication, creativity and intensity that stands up to the virtuosos of the European Baroques, Romanticists or Contemporaries. Unlike the classical counterparts, it carries a unique American spirit to it. And the compositions and performances of the Miles Davis, Duke Ellingtons or George Gershwins of the world have nothing to envy from a Beethoven symphony or a Mozart sonata. Add to this the unmatched power of improvisation, a highly complex virtue that is characteristic of jazz.
Ironically both classical and jazz are both losing ground in popularity to much simpler genres like pop or musicals. This is why Oh! Jazz feels compelled to preserve this beauty of a genre; one that mixes emotional power with improvisational genius like no other. Preservation in the digital era is of utmost importance and we are precisely leaning on the best of what technology has to offer to bring the world the best of what jazz has to offer.

From Melbourne, Australia Rita Satch brings a blend of jazz, soul and orchestral music, emotionally reminiscent of Amy Winehouse. Jazz Legacy Fellow, Roger Humphries brings his signature drumming in engaging jazz and soul sets from Pittsburgh. Two pianos from Madrid bring the magic of flamenco-jazz fusion from the hands of virtuosos Chano Dominguez and Diego Amador. Yota Miyazato Quartet and Mayuko Katakura’s performances highlight the vibrant, modern scene in Tokyo, offering a mix of hard bop and contemporary styles. Brazilian Grammy Award winner, Trio Corrente, features their unique samba/choro-infused jazz. Australian virtuoso trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist brings the astonishing technique and joyful stage presence that have made him a global ambassador for jazz.
