WHAT IS Oh! Jazz

Oh! Jazz is an innovative platform for exclusive, high-quality on-demand content that brings together artists, clubs, and jazz enthusiasts from around the world. Through subscription, users have access to a carefully curated catalog with a minimum of 10 live concerts per month, including different styles and influences of jazz (flamenco, Afro-Cuban, bossa nova, etc.).

Additionally, users can enjoy over 500 hours of exclusive on-demand content on the platform, including concerts, artist interviews, playlists curated by experts, and masterclasses from genre-leading figures. The platform’s library grows periodically, adding all shows and playlists from the last month.

So far, Oh! Jazz has succeeded in creating a large community through its partnership with 10 iconic clubs in cities with a rich jazz tradition. Over 1,650 artists have performed in the 360 concerts broadcast by Oh! Jazz.

The platform’s online visibility, thanks to collaborations with artists, exceeds one and a half million jazz enthusiasts.

How Oh! Jazz Was born

Oh! Jazz was created with the goal of providing jazz with a global window through an audiovisual platform that serves to showcase all styles, rhythms, and local influences, and facilitate access to jazz lovers worldwide. Oh! Jazz is characterized by its international vision, which connects creators, users, clubs, and producers in multidisciplinary teams across borders. The platform arises from the passion of its founders for live music, the atmosphere of jazz clubs, and the quest to reproduce that atmosphere with the highest audiovisual quality, fidelity, and excellence.

Why Oh! Jazz came to be

Oh! Jazz aims to directly contribute to the development and promotion of jazz worldwide by supporting artists and clubs in achieving their goals through the creation of a platform to showcase themselves to a global audience with a high level of commitment.

It seeks to bring artists, clubs, and composers closer to the homes of the most fervent fans, but also to reach a wider audience, eliminating stereotypes surrounding the genre and showcasing the latest innovations and talent, both emerging and established.

Oh! Jazz’s business model reflects the commitment of its founders to jazz. 35% of each subscription is fully allocated to artists and clubs, turning users into true patrons. Thus, the Oh! Jazz community contributes to the benefit of performers and the maintenance of the most iconic clubs, contributing its bit to the promotion of jazz worldwide.

Oh! Jazz’s commitment goes beyond the production of exclusive audiovisual content. In its desire to give visibility to its artists, the platform acts as a promoter of concerts and festivals worldwide and is preparing to launch its own record label. Likewise, it has the Oh! Jazz Mag space, which aspires to become one of the main knowledge portals for the genre worldwide.

Oh! Jazz’s Technology

Oh! Jazz is not unique solely because of its business model. In order for all its users to access high-quality content, both live from anywhere in the world and on-demand, the platform applies the latest technological innovations in recording, editing, and post-production.

At times, the select jazz clubs that Oh! Jazz collaborates with are small and intimate spaces, so it is essential to be able to record the concerts without affecting the capacity or the experience of the audience. Therefore, the platform utilizes remote production technology from the Spanish company Cinfo, which allows for capturing all material in Full HD format without the need for physical presence in the club. Additionally, all production and post-production are carried out in the cloud in real-time with specialized production teams centralized in strategic geographical regions (Asia/Europe and South America).

But for a jazz platform, image isn’t everything. Therefore, Oh! Jazz is currently implementing, in close collaboration with Dolby, Atmos spatial sound technology, achieving a total and unique immersion for the user.
