Samy Erick is a guitarist, researcher and musical director from Minas Gerais. He graduated in guitar at UEMG and has a master's and doctoral degree in musical performance from the UFMG Graduation Program in Music.

In 2014, he was one of the winners of the BDMG Instrumental Award, winning two awards: best presentation and best arrangement. In 2018, his original album, “Rebento”, won the Marco Antônio Araújo Prize, by BDMG Cultural, as the best instrumental album in Minas Gerais. At BH Instrumental in 2017, he opened Yamandu Costa's show with his original show, Rebento.

With “Três Brasilis”, an instrumental group of which he is a member along with saxophonist Maria Bragança, he has performed at festivals in South Korea, Uganda, Germany and at the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin. He is currently producing his second instrumental album “Pangeia”.

“Pangeia” is the new concert by guitarist and composer, Samy Erick. In it, the musician presents new songs that will be part of his next album of the same name, particularly exploring Brazilian musical genres such as xaxado, maracatu, ijexá and samba. In this way, “Pangeia” invites the listener (spectator) to embark on this sound journey that has in its proposal the union between tradition and modernity, and between the external and internal of our culture, having as its guiding thread the idea of connection, of fit, exchange and completeness between different beings and elements of the planet in a spiritual, aesthetic and cultural dimension.
