The leader quintet of Patrick Bartley, a saxophonist and composer/arranger born in 1993, will make its appearance at Oh!Jazz. A native of Hollywood, Patrick studied music extensively at the Manhattan School of Music and has appeared on the popular American television show "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" with John Batiste as music director & personality, as well as Dave Matthews, Steve Miller, he has performed with world-class musicians such as Dave Matthews, Steve Miller, The Chainsmokers, and Wynton Marsalis. He has had a deep knowledge of Japanese culture since his childhood, and his projects such as "J-MUSIC Ensemble," which features video game and anime music, have gained a large following, especially among the younger generation.

Also participating on this stage will be jazz guitarist Mei Inoue, who has achieved international success as a jazz guitarist. In November of this year, he just successfully performed at the EFG London Jazz Festival in London and at Club Matador in Madrid, which was organized by Oh! Jazz. It is expected to be a dynamic stage full of ideas with up-and-coming musicians. Patrick's wide, free, and bold phrasing is well worth seeing on stage

  • El quinteto líder de Patrick Bartley, saxofonista y compositor/arreglista nacido en 1993, hará su aparición en Oh!Jazz. Originario de Hollywood, Patrick estudió música extensamente en la Escuela de Música de Manhattan y apareció en el popular programa de televisión estadounidense "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" con John Batiste como director musical y personalidad, así como con Dave Matthews, Steve Miller, ha actuado con músicos de talla mundial como Dave Matthews, Steve Miller, The Chainsmokers y Wynton Marsalis. Ha tenido un profundo conocimiento de la cultura japonesa desde su infancia, y sus proyectos como "J-MUSIC Ensemble", que presenta música de videojuegos y anime, han ganado un gran número de seguidores, especialmente entre la generación más joven.

  • 1993年生まれのサックス奏者、作曲家/編曲家のパトリック・バートリーのリーダークインテットが、Oh!Jazzに登場する。ハリウッド出身のパトリックは、マンハッタン音楽学校で幅広く音楽を学び、ジョン・バティステが音楽監督＆パーソナリティを手がけるアメリカの人気番組「ザ・レイト・ショー・ウィズ・スティーヴン・コルベア」への出演の他、デイブ・マシューズ、スティーヴ・ミラー、ザ・チェインスモーカーズ、ウィントン・マルサリスなど世界的なミュージシャンと共演している。幼少期から日本のカルチャーに造詣のある彼は、自身が主宰するプロジェクト「J-MUSIC Ensemble」などでゲームやアニメ音楽を取り上げ、若い世代を中心に多くの支持を得ている。

    さらに、このステージには、ジャズギタリストとして世界的な活躍を遂げる井上銘も参加。今年11月には、ロンドンのEFG London Jazz Festival、

    Oh!Jazz企画で行われたマドリッドClub Matadorでのライブを成功させたばかり。気鋭のミュージシャンたちとアイディアを凝らした躍動感溢れるステージになりそうだ。ワイドで自由、そして思い切りのよいフレーズが淀みなく繰り出されるパトリックのステージは一見の価値ありだ。
