A leading light on the London jazz circuit Denys Baptiste’s impressive talent, built on a foundation of a powerful technique and an ability to improvise effortlessly across a wide range of musical styles, is only matched by his creative energy and musical endeavour. A multiple award winner, including the "Mercury Music Album of the Year" and "MOBO Award for Best Jazz Act" his CV is littered with collaborations with high profile artists including Marvin “Smitty” Smith, Courtney Pine, Julian Joseph & Manu Dibango. In this show his remarkable quartet will feature the upcoming Award-winning pianist Sultan Stevenson (Parliamentary Jazz Award 2023 “Newcomer of the Year”) alongside one of the UK’s iconic musicians, bassist Gary Crosby OBE with drummer Joel Barford (Dave Douglas) completing the lineup.
