Malaysian jazz is a rich fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous rhythms crossed with modern harmony. For decades, this music existed only in the fleeting air of local clubs. Led by Artistic Directors Michael Veerapen and Tay Cher Siang, we at Oh! Jazz are recording, archiving, and broadcasting the definitive canon of Malaysian jazz—starting from the intimate stage of BoboKL.
Our first show from BoboKL
Releasing soon, the Malaysian Real Book Project becomes the first show recorded from BoboKL and officially launches the new partnership between BoboKL & Oh! Jazz.
