Cuando empezamos este Festival y esta aventura extraordinaria en el 2011, a la que bautizamos como CLAZZ, Continental Latin Jazz, nunca pensamos que llegaríamos a cumplir 12 ediciones y que íbamos a estar presentes en más de 10 ciudades de España, México y Portugal con Paquito D’Rivera como padrino y Pepe Rivero como mentor y maestro, más el enorme privilegio - que proclamamos con orgullo - de haber tenido en nuestros escenarios a leyendas vivas de la música como Arturo Sandoval, Michel Camilo, Giovanni Hidalgo, Eddie Palmieri, Chano Domínguez y un larguísimo etcétera de estrellas del mejor jazz del mundo que es, sin duda, el latino…(aquí, con perdón, me pudo la pasión…) 

Por CLAZZ han pasado, en clave de Latin Jazz, Antonio Vivaldi, Los Beatles, Celia Cruz, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitgerald y unos cuantos sorprendentes conciertos más, siempre de la mano de genios como Pepito Rivero, Iván “Melon” Lewis o Alain Pérez que pasean por la calle como cualquier humano, con sus arreglos de esa música inmortal en la cabeza…

Y este año, ¿qué te puedo decir de este año CLAZZ, con los “ViJAZZcicos”, EL “XMAS LATIN SWING” y BIG BAN SANTA, condimentados con nombres de artistas con gancho y la mayor capacidad de seducción que conozco: Dany Noel Trío, Valderrama, Enrique Heredia “El Negri”, Karla Silva Trío, Ángela Cervantes, Ariel Bringuez, Cecilia Krull, Manu Pilas, Ile Hernández, El Coro de los Gnomos de David, La San Patricio Big Band y por supuesto, mi debilidad, Pepe Rivero Trío. Vamos, como para perdérselo…

When we began this Festival and this extraordinary adventure in 2011, which we baptized as CLAZZ, Continental Latin Jazz, we never thought that we would reach 12 editions and that we would be present in more than 10 cities in Spain, Mexico, and Portugal, with Paquito D’Rivera as the patron and Pepe Rivero as the mentor and master. It is an enormous privilege - one that we proclaim with pride - to have had living legends of music on our stages such as Arturo Sandoval, Michel Camilo, Giovanni Hidalgo, Eddie Palmieri, Chano Domínguez, and a long list of world-class jazz stars who are undoubtedly the best in the Latin genre... (here, forgive me, my passion got the better of me...)

Through CLAZZ, in the realm of Latin Jazz, Antonio Vivaldi, The Beatles, Celia Cruz, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and quite a few surprising concerts have passed, always guided by geniuses like Pepito Rivero, Iván “Melon” Lewis, or Alain Pérez, who stroll down the street like any human, with their arrangements of that immortal music in their heads...

And this year, what can I say about this year's CLAZZ, with the "ViJAZZcicos", the "XMAS LATIN SWING", and BIG BAN SANTA, spiced up with artists' names with charisma and the greatest seductive power I know: Dany Noel Trío, Valderrama, Enrique Heredia "El Negri", Karla Silva Trío, Ángela Cervantes, Ariel Bringuez, Cecilia Krull, Manu Pilas, Ile Hernández, El Coro de los Gnomos de David, La San Patricio Big Band and of course, my weakness, Pepe Rivero Trío. Well, it's not something you'd want to miss...
