  • Michał Martyniuk, pianist and composer, nominated for the Fryderyki 2019 award in the Debut of the Year category, winner of second place at the Made In New York 2018 competition in New York, releases his next album. On October 14, the first single from the artist's new album "Jazz Dance" was released. The second single "New Beginning" available from November 8. The album is available from November 18.

    "Resonate" is another album by one of the most promising Polish jazz pianists and composers. This material was recorded partly in New Zealand and partly in Poland. The musician has been traveling between the two countries for 3 years; New Zealand, where he spent the last 10 years of his life, and Poland, where he comes from. The music was inspired by travels and people the artist met on his way. Michał is accompanied by the most outstanding representatives of young Polish jazz, with whom he previously recorded the album "Nothing To Prove". Bartek Chojnacki played the double bass, Kuba Skowroński the saxophone, Kuba Mizeracki the guitar, and Kuba Gudz the drums. The album also featured friends and musicians with whom Michał started his career in New Zealand; Ron Samsom on drums and Cameron McArthur on double bass.

    Michał Martyniuk (born January 7, 1988 in Szczecin) is a pianist, keyboardist, composer, arranger and producer. He completed his jazz studies with a Jazz Performance diploma at the University of Auckland. He has gained a strong position in the music industry thanks to his unique approach to composition and the way of performing music live. He represents the next generation of musicians who want to build something exciting that reflects a tradition of creativity and collaboration. He has been present on the world music scene for years.

    He collaborated with many famous artists, including: in Australia, New Zealand and around the world such as: John Patitucci, Randy Brecker, Francisco Mela, Tama Waipara, Lewis McCallum, Sylwester Ostrowski and musical groups Sola Rosa and Batucada Sound Machine . Since 2014, he has been a regular member of saxophonist Nathan Haines ' band . Michał Martyniuk is supported by, among others, Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship - in July 2019, the artist received a prestigious artistic scholarship from the City of Szczecin.

    Michał Martyniuk has had a number of successful performances at festivals. It is, among others, winner of second place in the Made In NY Jazz Competition 2018, he also performed during the final concert at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York, when he played on one stage with Randy Brecker, John Patitucci and the other competition winners. He also performed during Java Jazz 2017 and 2019 and during the Jazz Bez 2017 festival in Ukraine, where he played together with Jakub Skowroński.

    The artist has played with numerous musicians, implementing comprehensive projects, including a guest performance with Darek Rubinowski's quartet as part of the Vertigo Summer Jazz Festival. He also held a series of concerts in jazz clubs throughout the country, presenting his music to the Polish audience. In March 2019, the musician had the opportunity to play on the stage of the Szczecin Philharmonic as part of the Szczecin Jazz Festival 2019, and during the concert tour that took place in May 2019, Michał Martyniuk played with his band at festivals in Kuala Lumpur, Vietnam and at the jazz festival in Manila in the Philippines.

    In 2019, the musician was also nominated for the Fryderyk 2019 Award in the Jazz Debut of the Year category.
